iCloud, iOS5, Lion OSX and Me

I have never been one to shy away from speaking my mind. However, these days I find myself writing more and more tutorials and ‘how tos’ than merely sharing my thoughts. Well… Not anymore. What does this have to do with Apple’s unveiling of new products? Only that I plan to tell you how I feel about theme.

iCloud

Excited. Elated. Ecstatic. Exuberant.

Why? Because on the very day that apple decided to unveil iCloud, I forgot to bring my external hard drive. What does my external contain? Only all those things that take up the most space on my computer: media. Yes, media. Those pesky photos, videos, music and movies that I cannot live without.

Does this mean that I was destined to purchase iCloud service? Yes. Yes it does. The day it becomes available, you will find me in the proverbial line signing up! After all, I’ve been a MobileMe user ever since its release.

Speaking of mobile me, I’d like to say thank you to Apple for refunding an entire year that I had previously paid for. Truly awesome.

iOS5

For a long time I have used software on my iPhone that gives me notifications on my lock screen. With iOS5 I will no longer need to use this software. I am excited to see the loads of twitter integration as well. Of course, the software I use now also allows me to reply right from my lock screen as well.

Am I sad that I seem to have ‘lost money’ for a product that I will no longer use? No. If anything I feel like a front runner. While everyone else is trying to get use to the new interface, I will be busy increasing the productivity of my live.

I am happy that iOS5 is coming and I can see a day where jailbreaks will no longer been needed. Kudos Apple.

Lion

Seriously. What could be better than to simplifying your life and integrating great features right into Mac OSX. Multi-Touch Gestures, Full Screen Mode (which I use regularly), Launch Pad, Mission Control and much more, it’s no wonder that more and more users are switching to Macs. Not to mention the price of the update. $29. Seriously. Twenty-nine dollars! Has there ever been such a revolutionary product at an unbelievable price? I would be surprised to find one.

What more could you ask for from a product with over 250 new features? Nothing.

Me

What does all this mean to me? Increased productivity, usability and syncing! I am sure that as time progresses, not only will I find new features, I also believe that features will be added by users and developers.

Without a doubt, Apple produces the best products at unbelievable prices. Thank you.
